Golf Course Overview
Designed by PGA Professional and golf course architect, Robert O’Friel, the golf course at Lakowe Lakes will set new international standards for golf courses in West Africa.
The golf course, which will open to golf lovers in March 2011, will take full advantage of the unspoiled surrounding coastal forest and blend the excitement of the fairways with the beauty of this natural ecosystem to form a harmonious balance for golfers and residents. This also means it will remain protected and secluded from the coast as well as the adjacent residential estate.
The course itself measures 92 hectares and includes multiple tees, generously wide fairways, bunkers and greens to suit all levels and skills of golfers.
As a regulation golf course with an overall par rating of 72, the course consists of two returning loops of 9 holes each – 2 par 5s, 2 par 3s and 5 par 4s.
Other great golfing benefits will include a golf academy, 9-hole par-3 course, driving range and dedicated practice facility, and a clubhouse with function facilities.
Due to the world-class standards of the Lakowe Lakes golf course, not only will it satisfy golfers of various handicaps, it is also expected to attract the attention of professional and amateur tournaments, thereby creating exciting golfing action.
